“ROAD SAFETY IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES”
which will be held in
Hotel Zvezda, Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia, April 13-16, 2016.
Conference is organized with the support of:
- Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development
- Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MI),
Road Safety Directorate.
- Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.
Conference subject areas are harmonized with Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2012 pillars. Those pillars are:
1. PILLAR: STRENGTHEN INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY TO FURTHER NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY EFFORTS
· Adoption of regulations;
· Development of strategies;
· Defining aims;
· Establishment of data system and track of realization.
2. PILLAR: IMPROVE THE SAFETY OF ROAD NETWORK
· Improving the safety-conscious planning, design, construction and operation of roads;
· Making sure that roads are regularly assessed for safety;
· Encouraging relevant authorities to consider all forms of transport and types of safe infrastructure when they respond
to the mobility needs of road users.
3. PILLAR: IMPROVE VEHICLE SAFETY
· Implementing new car assessment programmes so that consumers are aware of the safety performance of vehicles;
· Promoting more widespread use of crash avoidance technologies with proven effectiveness (electronic stability
control and anti-lock braking systems).
4. PILLAR: IMPROVE ROAD SAFETY BEHAVIORS
· Programs which combine enforcement with campaigns to increase public awareness and education to increase
seat-belt and helmet wearing and reduce drinking and driving, speeding and other risks;
· Activities to reduce work-related road traffic injuries and promote the establishment of graduated driver licensing
programmes for novice drivers.
5. PILLAR: IMPROVE CARE AFTER TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
· Reduce response time;
· Improve quality of care;
· Providing adequate rehabilitation.

We invite everyone intereseted in writting a paper to sent subject proposal including abstract and keywords by using

www.bslz.org and DVD Proceedings.
Chosen papers will be published in printed form of the Proceedings, in language in which paper was submitted.
