Rezime: Tokom 2012. i 2013. godine broj nastradalih pješaka na saobraćajnicama Republike Srpske je drastično povećan u odnosu na prethodne periode. S tim u vezi je izvršeno upoređivanje broja saobraćajnih nezgoda sa stradalim pješacima na području Republike Srpske i grada Banja Luka, kao najvećeg grada Republike Srpske, te izvršena uporedna analiza fenomenoloških karakteristika saobraćajnih nezgoda na području grada Banja Luka u periodu od 2011. do 2013. godine. Istraživanje dakle obuhvata prostorno područje grada Banja Luka, na kojem su analizirane osnovne fenomenološke karakteristike saobraćajnih nezgoda u kojima su stradali pješaci. Obzirom na raspoloživi prostor, opisana je uopštena i specifična prostorna raspodjela saobraćajnih nezgoda te izdvojene lokacije na kojima se učestalije dešavaju saobraćajne nezgode. Radom je opisana i vremenska raspodjela saobraćajnih nezgoda, pri čemu je identifikovan i upoređen najkritičniji period vremena u kojem se nezgode dešavaju. I na kraju, identifikovani su i upoređeni tipovi saobraćajnih nezgoda u kojima su učestvovali pješaci, kao i preovlađujući vremenski uslovi te šabloni ponašanja učesnika u saobraćajnim nezgodama. Na kraju je, uporednom analizom prikazanih podataka, rad predvidio i konkretne predloge za poboljšanje stanja bezbjednosti pješaka u najvećem gradu Republike Srpske.

Abstract: During the year 2012 and 2013 the number of pedestrians killed on the roads of the Republic of Srpska drastically increased compared to prior periods. In this regard, the comparison of number of traffic accidents in the Republic of Srpska and city of Banja Luka, as the largest city of the Republic of Srpska, was conducted. Also, the comparative analysis of phenomenological characteristics of traffic accidents with injured pedestrians in the city of Banja Luka in the period from year 2011 to year 2013 was performed. The research includes area of Banja Luka municipality, where the basic phenomenological characteristics of accidents in which pedestrians were injured were analyzed. Given the available space, the general and specific spatial distribution of traffic accidents is described and isolated locations where accidents frequently occur shown. This paper describes and time distribution of traffic accidents, in which the most critical period of time in which the accident occurred is identified and compared. And finally, the types of road accidents with involved pedestrians are identified and compare, as well as the prevailing weather conditions and patterns of behaviour of participants in road accidents. In the end, the work envisaged and concrete proposals to improve pedestrian safety conditions in the largest city of the Republic of Srpska as a result of conducted a comparative analysis of the data presented.
