Rezime: U januaru 2013. godine, u Valjevu je izvršeno anketno istraživanje saobraćajno-bezbednosne kulture građana. Anketa se sastojala iz četiri segmenta pitanja i to: opšti deo, pitanja za bicikliste, pitanja za pešake i pitanja za vozače. Rad opisuje rezultate koje su dobijeni prilikom anketiranja građana na pitanja o saobraćajno-bezbednosnoj kulturi iz onog dela u kome su aktivni učesnici u saobraćaju, kao i najznačajnije rezultate i predložene mere za poboljšanje saobraćajno-bezbednosne kulture u Valjevu. Na osnovu anketiranih 120 prolaznika na ulici koji su prihvatili anketu, utvrđeno je da 82,5% anketiranih lica nisu učestvovali u saobraćajnoj nezgodi. Od 73 anketiranih koji su se izjasnili da voze bicikl, njih 80,8% nikad ne koristi zaštitnu kacigu. Od svih anketiranih, njih 23 (19.2%) prelazi semaforisane pešačke prelaze ne obraćajući pažnju na svetlo semafora. Od 62 anketiranih koji su se izjasnili da su vozači, njih 29% se izjasnilo da uglavnom ne koristi sigurnosni pojas, dok 21% uglavnom konzumira alkohol dok vozi, 37,1% ne poštuje ograničenja brzine i 9,7% prolazi na crveno svetlo semafora.

Abstract: ure among the citizens. The survey consisted four segments of questions: general part, questions for cyclists, for pedestrians and for drivers. Document describes the results that we obtained during the survey of citizens on questions about traffic-safety culture from that part in which are active participants in the traffic, and also the most important results and proposed measures for improving traffic safety culture in Valjevo. Based on a survey of 120 passers which agreed to respond on a survey, it was determined that 82,5% of respondents were not involved in any traffic accident. Of the 73 respondents which declared that they are cyclists, 80.8% of them never use safety helmet. Of all respondents, 23 of them (19.2%) crossing pedestrian crossings that have traffic lights, without paying attention to the traffic light. Out of 62 respondents which declared that they are drivers, 29% of them said they they do not use a seat belt, while 21% of them mostly consume alcohol while driving, 37.1% do not respect the speed limits and 9.7% passes to the red traffic light.
