Rezime: Pored direktnih pokazatelja bezbednosti saobraćaja, koji se odnose na saobraćajne nezgode i njihove posledice, izuzetno važni pokazatelji bezbednosti saobraćaja jesu i indirektni pokazatelji. Jedan od najvažnijih indirektnih pokazatelja jeste merilo ponašanja učesnika u saobraćaju. Upotreba sigurnosnih pojaseva predstavlja jedan od najvažnijih indikatora koji se odnose na ponašanje učesnika u saobraćaju. Pravilna upotreba sigurnosnih pojaseva smanjuje rizik od smrtnog stradanja za vozača i putnika na mestu do vozača do 50%, dok za putnike na zadnjem sedištu smanjuje rizik smrtnog stradanja do 75%. U razvijenim zemljama stepen upotrebe sigurnosnih pojaseva iznosi preko 95%. Na području Republike Srpske, na čijoj teritoriji se nalazi opština Zvornik, upotreba sigurnosnih pojaseva iznosi oko 50%, dok na teritoriji Republike Srbije, u čijem je sastavu opština Mali Zvornik, taj procenat iznosi oko 70%. Važno je napomenuti da su opštine Zvornik i Mali Zvornik, iako u različitim državama, susedne opštine. Istraživanje je sprovedeno na teritoriji obe opštine, sa ciljem da se ispita upotreba sigurnosnih pojaseva kod vozača, putnika na mestu do vozača i putnika na zadnjem sedištu. Pored toga, cilj istraživanja bio je da se utvrdi postoji li veza između pola, starosti i zemlje u kojoj je vozilo registrovano sa stepenom korišćenja sigurnosnih pojaseva.

Abstract: In addition to direct indicators of traffic safety relating to traffic accidents and their consequences, also there are indirect indicators of traffic safety which are very important. One of the most important indirect indicators is measure of the road users behavior. The usage of the seat belts is one of the most important indicators related to road users behavior. Proper use of the seat belts reduce the risk of death for driver and passangers, up to 50% for driver, while for the rear seat passengers reduces the risk up to 75%. In developed countries the usage of the seat belts is more than 95%. On the territory of the Republic of Srpska, on whose territory is the municipality of Zvornik, the usage of the seat belts is about 50%, while in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, in which part is municipality of Mali Zvornik, that percentage is about 70%. It is important to note that the municipalities of Zvornik and Mali Zvornik are neighboring municipalities, although they are in different countries. The research was conducted on territories in both municipalities, with the main purpose to look into the usage of the seat belts by the driver, co-driver and passengers on the back seat. In addition, the purpose of the study is to determine whether there is relation between gender, age and country in which the vehicle is registered with the degree of the seat belt usage.
