Rezime:
Transport opasne robe predstavlja vrstu transporta za koju se vezuju najveći rizici i potencijalne opasnosti po stanovništvo i po životnu sredinu. Kako bi smanjili moguće posledice po stanovništvo i životnu sredinu od pokretnih izvora opasne robe (transportnih sredstava), neophodno je utvrditi trase za njihovo kretanje i to na osnovu prihvatljivog nivoa rizika od strane društvene zajednice na tom području. Izbor optimalne rute transportovanja opasnih materija predstavlja jedan od najznačajnijih oblika preventivnog delovanja kojim se može značajno uticati na smanjenje rizika u ovoj oblasti. Rešavanje ovog problema je izrazito složen zadatak, prvenstveno zbog činjenice da je sam kriterijum optimizacije – rizik, nedovoljno precizno definisan.

Abstract:
Transport of hazardous goods is a kind of transport related to the highest risks and possible dangers for population and environment. In order to reduce possible consequences for population and environment from mobile sources of hazardous materials (transportation modes), it is necessary to establish the routes for their moving and that should be done on the basis of the level of risk acceptable by social community of a certain area. The choice of dangerous goods' optimal transport route is one of the most important aspects of the prevention action, and if properly chosen can significantly decrease the risk in this area. A solution to this problem is an extremely complex task, primarily due to the fact that the very optimization criteria, i.e. risk, is imprecisely defined.
