Djordjevic, L., Trifunović, R., Lukić, M., (2017). Vrednovanje efekata preraspodele saobraćajnih površina u cilju uvođenja biciklističkih traka. 12 th International Conference - Road Safety in Local Communities, Tara.

Abstract: The tendency to reduce use of motor vehicles, their negative impact on the traffic safety, environment and the consumption of natural resources encourages the development of cycling as a mode of transport. Cycling as a way of transport has many benefits for society it reduces economic costs, it also reduces pollution and improves public health. Because of these positive effects, in the context of sustainable development cycling is increasingly promoting globally. The first step in encouraging the use of bicycles is to build an organized network of bicycle lanes. Namely, on roads with two or more lanes in each direction, if they have sufficient widths, sometime bicycle lanes are introduced at the expense of traffic lanes. For the definition of a bicycle lane in this way, it is primarily necessary to analyze the impact of these measures on the security of the participants in traffic. This paper will analyze the effects of redistribution traffic areas in terms of efficacy and safety, and on the basis of cost-benefit analysis in a particular case. The aim of this study is to, through a multimodal approach in analysis of traffic conditions, evaluate the validity of specified solution and define the methodology of evaluation specific projects of this type.
