Rezime:
Pešaci spadaju u najranjivije učesnike u saobraćaju, a njihovo stradanje posebno je izraženo u urbanim sredinama. U radu su analizirane saobraćajne nezgode sa pešacima na urbanom području Novog Sada. Cilj rada je da identifikuju lokacije sa visokom gustinom saobraćajnih nezgoda. Sve saobraćajne nezgode su geokodirane, a primenom mrežne kernel metode gustine identifikovano su lokacije na kojima stradaju pešaci. Analiza je sprovedena primenom geografskog informacionog Sistema (GIS).
Identifikacija i rangiranje lokacija sa velikim brojem nezgoda sa pešacima, kao i utvrđivanje specifičnosti obeležja nastanka nezgoda i stradanja pešaka, imaju ključnu ulogu u razvoju efikasne strategije za poboljšanje bezbednosti pešaka. Ovo nam omogućava da kvalitetnije izvršimo odabir mera bezbednosti saobraćaja u funkciji identifikovanog problema.

Abstract:
Pedestrians are the most vulnerable road users in the traffic, and they are particularly more likely to become casualties in an urban area. This study analyzes traffic accidents involving pedestrians in the urban area of Novi Sad. The objective of this study is the following: to identify high-density pedestrian accident locations. All traffic accidents were geocoded, and the application of the Network Kernel Density Estimation method has identified high-density accident locations, where the pedestrians become casualties. The analysis was carried out by using the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) computer software.
Identifying and ranking locations characterized by large numbers of accidents involving pedestrians (known as the high-density accident locations), as well as determining the specific attributes of the origins of accidents and pedestrian casualties, play a key role in developing an efficient strategy for improvement of pedestrian safety. This enables us a better selection of the traffic safety measures in order to dealing with the problem which have been identified.
