Rezime: Gradnja autoceste kroz manje pristupačne terene dovela je do izgradnje značajnih objekata koji imaju posebne uslove eksploatacije. Implementacijom Direktive 2004/54/EC u tunelima dovelo je do toga da imamo jedne od trenutno najsavremenijih tunela u regiji. Uvođenje inteligentnih transportnih sistema bitno je doprinjelo povećnju sigurnosti odvijanja saobraćaja na autocesti. Sada se u realnom vremenu reaguje na promjene saobraćajnih, meteoroloških i drugih prilika na autocesti i tunelima kao posebno opasnim objektima sa aspekta upravljanja i nadzora. Ohrabruje činjenica da relativno veliki broj incidenata (zaustavljanje u tunelu, vožnja unazad, kretanje pješaka i sl.) nije rezultirao saobraćajnim nezgodama, obzirom da se reagovalo na incidente putem sistema nadzora i upravljanja saobraćajem na autocesti.

Abstract: Construction of the highway through less accessible terrain led to construction of significant object which have special exploatation conditions. Implementation of Directive 2004/54/EC in tunnels has led to the fact that we have one of the best-equipped tunnels in region.Implementing Intelligent Transportation Systems has significantly contribute to increase the traffic safety on motorway. Now we have instant response to all changes in traffic, meteorological and similar conditions on motorway and tunnels which are especially challenging from the point of management and supervision. The fact that vast number of incidents (stopping in tunnel, driving in reverse, movement of pedestrians etc.) did not have as a result trafic accident argues that use of system for surveillance and managing of traffic is very important and usefull tool for accidents prevention.
