Abstract: Periodic inspection of vehicles has evolved continuously since it was introduced in the early 20th century. On the one hand, the introduction of electronics in cars has further accelerated their integration, on the other hand impose new requirements for the technical inspection of vehicles. During the last decade, the electronics took a special place in car production. It is an integral part of most automotive components. Electronic control units and driving safety equipment intended protection of the environment, for example, were introduced as standard vehicles. The next step would be to ensure that each system works flawlessly throughout the exploitation period of the vehicle. Therefore, it is necessary to constantly improving technology vehicle inspection. This paper pointed out the special importance of the security of electronic systems in the vehicle, an initiative to integrate them into existing vehicle inspection, and the experience of those who are already dealing with this problem.
