Rezime:

Abstract:
For preventive action in road safety it is necesarry to consider the influence of each factor (human-vehicle-road-environment) in an adequate way on occurence of traffic accidents and their consequences. Road factor is almost always present in the occurence of traffic accidents, rarely as a cause but more often as a factor that had influence on occurence of traffic accidents either independently or in synergy with other remaining factors. Adequate recognition of influence of road factor on occurence of accidents, it’s possible to develop models and improve layout and road condition on characteristic locations in which way hazards in traffic would be prevented. For good understanding of influence of road factor on occurence of traffic accidents, in-depth analysis of all traffic accidents in the city of Belgrade in which pedestrians suffered fatal injuries in 2014, as well as in-depth analysis of all accidents in which children suffered fatal injuries in the period of 2010. of 2014. were conducted. By conducting in-depth analysis it was possible to specially analyze influence of road factor on occurence of traffic accidents through identifying it’s influence on occurence of accident, contribution to occurence of accident or injury severity of traffic accident. Certain elements of factor road were identified, which were dominant and most often present at the place of accidents with pedestrians. Based on that, the percentage influence of certain elements of factor road on occurence of traffic accidents vehicle-pedestrian in the city of Belgrade were determined. Reduced sight distance and influence of lateral obstacle in zones where traffic accidents with pedestrians occured were identified as a dominant elements of factor road, with presence of over 80% in all accidents with pedestrians and 100% in all accidents that involved children as pedestrians.
