Ključne reči: oštećenje vida, samostalno i bezbedno kretanje, saobraćajni sistem

Abstract: In order to create all traffic participants equal we need to take into account their limited natural abilities. Considering that the eyesight is one of the most important elements for participation in traffic, the question arises whether the transport system is adapted for people with visual impairments. The research was conducted on the territory of Belgrade, with the goal of determining the level of adaptation of the transport system for the independent movement of visually impaired people and to mark the biggest problems in individual mobility, ie. display critical locations. The paper presents the current statе, and provides the comparative analysis with the situation from the previous year, when the same authors implemented a similar research. One of the most characteristic locations shown in the work is the reconstructed street Vojvode Stepe. It should be noted that large contributions were provided by blind people, whose personal experiences can be considered as the most relevant indicator of the adaptation of the transport system.

Keywords: visual impairment, independent and safe movement, traffic system
