Rezime:
Sa porastom broja stanovnika raste i njihova potreba za mobilnošću. Biciklistički saobraćaj ima sve veći udeo u modalnoj raspodeli transporta. Pored reljefa, klime, nadmorske visine jedan od glavnih preduslova za razvoj biciklističkog saobraćaja predstavlja tradicija. Međutim, ukoliko ne postoji odgovarajuća infrastruktura namenjena biciklistima koja bi doprinosila povećanju bezbednosti saobraćaja, biciklisti mogu biti ugroženi u saobraćaju i to pre svega od velikog broja motornih vozila koja se kreću istim površinama kao i biciklisti. Kao takavi biciklisti predstavljaju jednu veliku grupu ranjivih učesnika u saobraćaju. U radu su prikazani određeni faktori koji utiču na bezbednost biciklista. Takođe je u radu izvršeno nekoliko analiza, gde je prva analiza koja je vršena analiza stavova i ponašanja vozača i proveravana je upotreba nekih od sistema zaštite poput zaštitne kacige i svetloodbojnog prsluka, upotreba svetala i katadioptera, kao i neke radnje koje mogu biti značajne za bezbednost saobraćaja, kao što su prolazak na crveno svetlo i pokazivanje pravca skretanja. Takođe je vršena analiza stavova i samopriavljenog ponašanja vozača gde su proveravani stavovi o trpeljivosti između vozača i biciklista. Neki od ciljeva istraživanja su otkrivanje određenih stavova vozača automobila o vozačima bicikla i obrnuto, utvrđivanje zavisnosti između samoprijavljenog ponašanja vozača bicikla i stvarnog ponašanja, kao i o upotrebi određenih sistema zaštite ili nekim radnjama koje je potrebno preduzeti za bezbedno kretanje.

Abstract:
The population increase implies the increase of people’s mobility needs. The bicycle trips have an increasing share in the modal split. Besides topography, climate and altitude, one of the main preconditions for the cycling development is the tradition. However, if an adequate cycling infrastructure to improve traffic safety is not provided, bicyclists could be at risk on the road, primarily due to the numerous motor vehicles that use the same road space as bicyclists. Being as such, the cycling and the bicyclists are one large group of vulnerable road users. This paper presents certain factors impacting bicyclist safety. Also, several analyses were conducted in this paper, where the first one was the analysis of drivers’ attitudes and behaviour, and also it was checked the use of some protective systems, such as helmet and reflective vest, the use of lights and catadioptric systems, as well as some actions that may be important for traffic safety, such as red-light violation and turning direction indication. Also, it was conducted the analysis of drivers’ attitudes and self-reported behaviour, where the attitudes towards the tolerance between drivers and bicyclists were checked. Some of the research goals were to discover certain car driver attitudes towards bicyclists and vice versa, to determine the relationship between bicyclists’ self-reported and actual behaviour, as well as about the use of certain protective systems or some actions that have to be taken for the safe movement.
